How come the book switches from subject to subject without any type of transition it just jumps back and forth and along with the dialect it makes for a cinfucsing book. Why was Janie's grandmother so bent on having janie marry a man before she died if it meant that Janie would be very unhappy and resent her grandmother for such a forceful demand. I also don't understand why throughout the whole book Janie only does as people demand of her, she married the man her grandmother wanted, she ran away from her husband for joe starks because he told her too, and she was ultimately his slave when they were married all the way up until the end when he was bed ridden, but even still she stayed away fromk him becuase he told her not to visit him. I think its pretty bad that Janie never really had a chance to have her own life.
